Discover Y Day Camp is for children entering1st-6th grade. The Y’s day camp program offers a safe, positive, diverse environment where children gain confidence and build self-esteem while enjoying a fun-filled summer at the Y. Our program introduces campers to a variety of challenging and exciting activities that will strengthen their appreciation for teamwork and personal accomplishment. The strength of our camp stems from our age appropriate groups, experienced staff, and dedication to enriching the lives of children.

Lego Robotics Camp is our NEW science adventure for children entering 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade this Fall. This program is designed for this age group and introduces the Lego Robotics in a fun, friendly way. This camp is designed for both children new to Lego Robotics or children that have had some experience working with them. Each day will focus on different activities and infuse traditional day camp activities, such as swimming, group games, the outdoors, etc. Due to our full capacity for the weeks detailed in our brochures, we have added an additional week of camp for Lego Robotics. This is updated on our camp sign up form for you to enroll your child.

Exercise your spirit, mind, and body this summer at the Y!

Preschool Camps are offered during the summer for children that are ages 3-5. Each week of camp is centered around a fun and exciting age-appropriate theme. Our preschool camps are done through our Y-Tots state-licensed preschool program at the Rochester Area Family Y.

Summer Teen Leaders In Training - L.I.T. - is a fun leadership program for students entering grades 7-12 in the fall. This program will give teens the opportunity to learn about various aspects of the Rochester Area Family Y while developing leadership skills, meeting new friends, and having fun. After the initial training day, teens choose the program that they would like to volunteer in. Options include assisting with youth swim lessons, our full-day summer “Discover Y Day Camp,” and youth sports. Teens are encouraged to volunteer for a minimum of two weeks during the summer.

Best of Basics with The Reading Center - This collaborative program offered to 2nd-5th graders to improve language art skills while being a part of our day camp programs. The student must be a registered member of day camp to participate in this special pull-out group.
